The Christmas spirit was alive and well yesterday 18th December as the boys and girls of Junior Infants to 2nd class performed a Christmas concert in the school hall. Senior Infants started off proceedings with a very entertaining play called Away in A Manger. Junior Infants then performed a medley of songs. followed by 1st class who performed a medley of songs and a spoken word piece about the goofy reindeer. Our daytime concert was finished off by 2nd class who performed the traditional nativity.

Later that evening the boys and girls of 2nd class through to 6th class performed in Killeigh church. The boys and girls in 3rd and 4th class performed a medley of songs. This was followed by another performance of 2nd class nativity play. Our music group then performed a medley of tunes to keep the crowd entertained. A group of 6th class pupils read from the traditional poem "The Night before Christmas" during the transitions between classes.  Our carol service was rounded off by a medley of songs from the boys and girls of 5th and 6th class.

Both events were very enjoyable and we wish to thank the following people
  • our pupils, who have put a huge amount of work in preparing for these events
  • Brendan Lynam for helping to set up the hall
  • Doris and Fr John for their help in the church
  • teachers for preparing the pupils so well
  • parents, grandparents  and friends who came to see the show
