Our School
Welcome to the Website of Scoil Shinchill.
We hope that it is of use to you as a source of information on all that happens in our school.
We are a coeducational, lateral school catering for the children in the Killeigh area as well as those from the Meeleghans and Killurin. At the moment we have 210 children on roll but that is set to increase for the coming year.
Our school has a Catholic Ethos and is under the auspices of the Catholic Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin. We welcome all children to our school, regardless of religion and we hope that the education they receive is reflective of virtues such as tolerance and friendship which we strongly promote.
We adhere to the principles and aims of the Revised Curriculum and we hope that the education we provide is a good preparation for the children as they embrace the future while also providing them with knowledge understanding and appreciation of times past.
