Food Dudes Programme

Our school has recently taken part in the Food Dudes Programme. This Programme is designed to encourage children to eat appropriate, healthy food. For 16 days, beginning on Thursday 7 April, snack packs of various foods – vegetables, fruits etc were delivered to the school each morning and distributed amongst the children. The 'Food Dudes' venture is state supported and is completely free to the children. In addition we are delivering some lessons on the nutritional value of the various types of food sampled. Following the initial 16 day programme children have continued to bring fruit and vegetables for lunch and are awarded as per programme. Ms Edel Corcoran and Ms Colette Kelly are in charge of the Food Dudes Programme in the school.
