School Sports day
We had our annual sports day today (Mon 27/6/11).The festivities started off with a talent show in the school hall where a question was posed "Does Killeigh have talent?"This question was answered in style by countless representatives from 1st class through to 6th class who danced, sang, told jokes, played music, performed novelyty acts and we even had a very dramatic recitation.Congratulations to all the pupils who took part. It is never easy getting up on stage in front of a big crowd and some pupils in particular had never experienced this before so great credit goes to them for conquering stagefright and nerves.Sports day proper started off after 11am and classes went from station to station taking part in a variety of fun activities including theleaky water relayandbaloon stomping.Great fun was had by all. After the races section we moved to the GAA field for the final of our inter school hurling league. After a very competitive match Cathals team won out by a single point.A huge thanks go to all that helped make this day go so well. A special thanks go to the parents association, Ms Corcoran and Mr Donnelly.
